Glassport
Your iPhone as the screen, keyboard and trackpad of your own Mac.
Coming soon
What it is
Glassport turns an iPhone into the display and input device of a Mac you own — made for a Mac mini that sits without a monitor, keyboard or mouse. Tap and drag on the screen to click and scroll, type with the iPhone keyboard, and dictate text straight into the Mac.
How it works
- Glassport Helper runs in the Mac menu bar. It creates a display sized for your iPhone and streams it.
- Glassport for iPhone shows that display and sends taps, keys and text back.
- The two connect directly over your local network, or over your own private VPN such as Tailscale. There is no account and no cloud server in between.
Private by design
- Each iPhone must be paired with the Mac once: you compare a code shown on both devices and approve it on the Mac.
- Only paired devices can connect. Control traffic is encrypted with DTLS, and video is encrypted.
- Your screen never leaves the path between your iPhone and your Mac.
